    912 to 911 Engine Conversion

Selling this 912 to 911 engine conversion kit for a friend in Fort Worth, Texas. He bought the engine as a 914/6 conversion that never happened to get the 914/6 parts, i.e. heat exchangers, sheet metal, motor mount, etc.

This left a 1969 911T # 6196156 (901/16--build number 21788) with no sheet metal or exhaust. Supplied with powder coated sheet metal and air cleaner assembly. Sand blasted and painted muffler and heat exchangers. Bischoff muffler with aftermarket heat exchangers in very good condition.

Heads have been torqued and the valves adjusted. Installed Turbo valve covers, replaced oil return tubes and sump plate. Mileage is unknown, but it appears to be low with very good oil pressure and leakdown numbers:
    1. 5%
    2. 4%
    3. 4%
    4. 5%
    5. 3%
    6. 4%

Marelli distributor replaced with a modified later Bosch unit with Pertronix and Bosch black coil.

Fan and blower housing have been cleaned and early wiring harness fabricated. Alternator and regulator test good.

Zenith carbs were disassembled, cleaned, replaced accelerator pump diaphragms, zinc plated linkage and related parts. The enrichment circuit has been correctly deleted.

Oil tank was professionally cleaned by Metal Rehab and painted, filler neck zinc plated. New oil filter, scavenge hose is new, S hose is used but in good shape.

Motor mount brackets are OEM new from Porsche, rubber motor mounts are new. Has proper cupped washers and bolts.

Includes everything you would need but an electric fuel pump and the breather hoses from the oil tank to the engine & air cleaner.

$4700 OBO for everything picked up in Fort Worth. $1200 extra for turn-key installation.
