    my new ride

My post this past week on the value of my case unintentionally inspired some real passion on matching #s and value. The good news is that I'm head over heels with the car as is... to get the matching case would just be icing on an already darn good cake!

I owe several board members thanks, starting with Rod the last owner who did an amazing job caring for and restoring this car over the last decade, and Mike the owner prior to that who kept her in good shape for the decade+ he owned it.

I was really amazed by the dealer community as well - plenty of them took time to educate me along the way: Henk at Carparc, Jeff at European Collectibles, Derek at Motoring Enthusiast and Paul at Auto Kennel. I'd buy from these guys any day of the week.

Finally several of you had real good advice along the way in phone calls and responses to my posts (Peter K., Bill K. come to mind, but there were many others) - early 911s reg is a great community and resource!

A beautiful car! Well done, what a great color/model combination... it certainly deserves its original case

Forgot to ask. Is that Spencer Nge's ex 72S targa? I remember seeing a very similar car which he owned back in the late 90's when visiting him at Parts Heaven.
I remember that he was playing with selling it back then. When I asked him what he was looing to get for it, he said low $20's..... Those were the days

NIce ride. I really like the colour and indeed getting it is proper case would seem like the thing to do.

    Enjoy

No, I don't believe so. I have a paper trail of the previous owners, and he does not appear to be one of them.

Thanks all for the kind words - the porsche gods smiled upon me

    Details?

    Hello, Ted . . .

Wow! . . . what a car! And what a color? Reminds me of a 'crystal blue' soft-window Targa some one showed pictures of once. What's the paint code?

Love to hear your story, too --- what got you interested in Porsche, your search for a car, finding this particular one . . . that kind of thing. Pictures are great but there usually a lot more to it than just the car we see.

    Congratulations!

They should call that color Carolina Blue for the nearby UNC Tarheels, of which I am not a big fan.
