    Front Suspension Reinforcements

I have had someone contact me asking if the sheet metal reinforcements for the front inner wheel well of the RSR are available. These go around the mounts for the anti-sway bar and the torsion bar/A-arm mounts.

I got these photos here but I do not remember who's project it was. I do not know if they were hand fabricated or were stamped by an aftermarket company.

Can anyone shed some light on this?

    Thanks

I have a 1973 factory RSR. It does have reinforcements around the tortion bars, but there is no reinforcement like you have in the picture on the front end. The front end looks like a normal911 street front end except the area behind the oil cooler.

I too have seen the sway bar reinforcements but not what you show. TRE seems to have done the best reinforcements I've seen here.

What you show may be a repair panel that someone has modified.

    Thanks. That does look likely.

Can someone show me pictures of the RSR or TRE front sway bar reinforcements?

We are working on building a hotrod car that will be tracked once in a while. So we like it to have some reinforcement here and there. Not that the car will be heavely used on the track, but it ight come to that someday, and we have alle the metal work done now

    Thanks,
    Alex

    Hi,

We are building a few race based cars at the moment, one of which is on the jig having reinforcement work done at the moment. If it helps I will take some pics but it will take a week or so as I am away at the moment.

    Thanks

    Rsr

There are no reinforcements on my 1973 factory RSR. However mine was an early car, uses long rear trailing arms, and no reinforcements on the rear shock absorber mounts. Could other 1973 to 1975 RSR owners check there cars for front reinforcements? How about restoration shops that have worked on these cars? What about reinforcements on other parts of the cars. There is a reinforcement on the outside of the tortion bar tube.
