    That was the highest build # I have for the aluminum case with any info; but did not have complete info. As stated there appears to be no serial # on the case either. So many people report the casting # for only one side; most of them think it is a serial #.

    I meant casting # for the left case. (e.g. 901.101.101.0R ?)

    Both case halves changed.This was used in 1973"

    my car ,german 72 july build , has numbers match case using 5r/4r

    Maybe your crankcase has got a stud spacing of 83mm. Have you ever actually measured it?

    I loocking at bying this case,is this a r case? 1968 901/02 4081419 901.101.101.1R 901.101.102.1R 15415 nr is 4081419.
