Thread: Body Panals Pre 69 SWB

    Body Panals Pre 69 SWB

    Quick clarification

Are all the panels, e.g. front wings/fenders, rear wings, seals, body parts etc. from a 68 SWB (912), interchangeable with a 67S SWB

Or are there small differences, e.g wing/fender lips

    Thanks

    Garry

The fender lip was narrower on the 68 for the new 5 1/2" Fuchs, that's all I can think of.

The recess in the left latch panel for the engine lid pull is different also.

This has been addressed before (somewhere?). The '68 fender is an odd-ball. Similar to '67 except headlight bucket is set up for the later style headlamp unit. Potentially has a narrower lip for the 5-1/2" wheels. It will accept the early turn signal units. Potentially also has a couple holes to mount the USA side reflector.
