    Houndstooth....beyond excellent

All the colors the factory originally offered, plus one they didn't.

Here's the link to the story behind the production of this:
    http://www.early911sregistry.org/for...ad.php?t=32851

Black/white and red/black/white are in hand.

Green/black/white, Maroon/black/white, Tan/black/white, and Brown/black/white are 10 days in my hands (promise), currently what's showing is already sold.

Cost is $400 (plus shipping) for enough to do a pair of sport seats, or standard seats, or bucket seats. It's 36 inches by 59 inches.

    regards,
    Eric

    Great work Eric!

Thanks for the effort. My seats have zero miles on them and I am thinking of redoing them now. :-)

    Just to clarify a color,
The Maroon/black/white was done as the factory actually used the red/black/white houndstooth to work with the maroon vinyl, and it wasn't all that close of a match. We experimented to get a good looking maroon that would match the OE maroon vinyl, and we found a perfect match.

The maroon is the next to last image in this set.

    tks,
    eric

Fantastic job Eric! Any fabric with blue in them in the near future, for the blue cars?

    Wow! Beautiful Houndstooth Eric.

Oh, that fashion industry does help when it come to vintage cars(I am sure coming to NYC every week helps the process also). Much nicer quality than the RL cars I have seen up close when I met Ralph a few years back(he does his own patterns too).

I just had some green 'tooth' done on some sport seats for a custom 356. Customer used Auto's Int.

    John,

Yes, I think I can. We will just have to find the right color of blue to work for the project. I'll inquire as to the minimum, as I think it's either 2 or 3 yards that we have to do per color. The only other issue is that for me to get any kind of pricing I had to make a minimum order yardage. So, in order for me to do the blue, I will have to tie it into a future weave with other colors.

Do you have a type of blue in mind? I'll see what I can source first from the yarn manufacturer in Australia, to see if there is a color they have stock in.

    Mike,

Sorry there's no stray yardage per se, the weaver and I worked out the kinks in small test blankets that are unsuitable to upholster anything. However I do have the red/black/white yardage available to cut for swatches, and am hopefully going to have enough in the future to do a full booklet of colors for truly interested customers.

Note that Tony at Autobahn will have all colors available to inspect at his shop in San Diego by about Nov 5th.

Thanks again for all the interest, and for all the kind words. It's that type of response that makes the effort worthwhile, that combined with the satisfaction of having actually "produced" something.

    Best,
    Eric

Awesome Eric, and well worth the wait. Thanks for the effort. Now i just need to decide which color scheme to buy. I'll wait till Tony has some material at the shop. My sport seats are there right now for a litlle freshening already....hmmm.
