    RS help with fog lights

The email below came to me as I have my RS registered with GP - he's after help and his email is gp@my911carrerars.com

I've been away for a week so hopefully this is still relevant - if you can help send him an email.

    Hello RS- friends,

As I have told you before: my RS 0080 is in restoration. I’ve had a lot of help with the rear window wiper and that problem is solved due to the response of RS owners who send pictures.

Now I have another not so common problem. The mounting of the from fog lights is lost. I hope someone can help me with pictures from how it originally was mounted from the inside.

I hope you can help again and someone is willing to take a picture from below the bumper from the way it is mounted and the shape of the construction.

Thanks a lot and kind regards,

    GP (Gert-Paul van’t Hoff)

John, just got this back re your pictures - another satisfied long bonnet owner - what a fantastic group of people to be able to help at such short notice.

    Hi Nick,

This is it. The link I’ve got was for fog lights through the horn grills.

    Thank you very much.

    Hello John, David and Nick,
Thanks for your help. I just became a member and trying this forum myself now.

The pics of John is what I was looking for. Was this original on your car. Are part number visible? I have send the pictures to the restoration firm. If they have some extra questions can I contact you?

    regards,

    Dear Gert-Paul

I have emailed you. I would recommend emailing member "Soterik" and "70SATman" for further info on lights. They are the most knowledgeable people in our community when it comes to Porsche lights.

    Best regards and welcome

BTW, the yellow RS has the Hella 118 yellow fogs, the purple RS has the clear Hella 118 fogs. To my knowledge if the S/RS had Hella 118 driving lights they would be mounted in the grills.

    Hello,
does anybody knows if these mountings are still available? I gues they were not Porsche specific? I like the look of the mounting them under the bumper pretty much.
    Thank you.
    Thanks Yeti

The mountings are in the parts book. I think (not certain) I may have been the one to take the picture of the purple car with the mounts...that car belongs to a friend of mine and was in the same collector storage I was using for quite a while. It's a pretty simple "L" bracket, and I would think you could make something similar very easily.
