Old dealer badges. Anyone seen one?

    Hey All,

I recently purchased a '66 911 and I noticed there are two holes about 3" apart that are centered on the engine lid just below the grill. I was told this might be from a dealer ID plate. Sort of a badge that was put on cars of that era. Has anyone seen one of these? Does anyone have one? I'd be very interested in seeing what one looks like.

I assume those holes might have been for a rally badge.

    Cheers,
    Dan

A 66 should have the slanted 911 script, does yours have that? Otherwise if it doesn't that might have been a later replacement lid and that is where the later script goes.
