No, that is a new one for me to research, generally that means it is a custom color.
I'm guessing it is green, and possibly metallic?
You might want to get a COA for that car. Is there anything unusual about the car?
Can you post a photo of the car in that color? Can you post a photo of the badge for my records please.
I'd also like to know the VIN, and you can PM that if you wish.

    Thanks Dave
It is a 73 911S targa. We thought the color was viper green which is close but the numbers don't match.
VIN is 9113310011. I will get you a picture soon.

    Thanks,
    Jon

Google gives this result "Barbadosgruen - Paint Code 247" on Eagleday.com. Enter the Eagleday.com site and you will find it under BMW touch-up paints, but I can not find the code used before 1994...

Try this at Glasurit paint man. Enter 247 in the upper left corner, and the tabel shows youu all the car manufacturers 247 paint codes. Might be one of those.

It must be a special order color, most probably some sort of green.

The final 2 in the code indicates a Glasurit paint, so I would follow the input from John, maybe refining the search to pre-73 colors...

I still cannot find any info on that code. However, I think this car might be the first 1973 911S Targa; they typically start VIN's at 0011. So it may be special. If you don't have the COA, it might be very worthwhile. Do you know the ownership trail?

I just picked it up from a guy in Texas. It has a california title. Seems like I have seen where you can call and get some information over the phone from Porsche.
Do you know the process? I have never ordered a COA.
    thanks

I was looking through some photos. And I found this one I saved. I agree with davep , and I said it before on another thread. The chances are this car was built for someone special at the factory (green reminds me of someone but who knows). It was so disassembled it was hard to figure out if it was a ROW or US model , being that early you would think it had to be ROW . It was for sale at some point after this thread was written asking 12k (maybe it was prior to ?).

Did anyone get it , is is still buried in MT, did it get parted out ?

It was too far away for me , and I did not like the feedback when the seller was asked for an accounting of what was all there or missing. But I remember the matching low number motor (in pieces) was said to be with it. It was a very expensive project. But I had thought it was very worthwhile to be researched more thoroughly.

I forgot about this also :

    "original interior was blue"

And my memory was incorrect , now i'm remembering ... it was advertised at 15K , with whatever they had that was accounted for as being from this car. Then in parts later (as this thread was going on) .

"Since the car is already torn apart we will just part it out

    tub 9113310011 $8500.
    engine 633025 disassembled $4500.
    complete mfi system $3500.
    spoiler bumper 850.
    new NOS fenders 2500.
    hood 400.
complete interior with seats and dash rough 1000.
    brakes 600.
    rear suspension 250.
    front struts 400.
    rear bumpers 250.
    targa top 400.
    wiring harness complete 400.
    rear 73 clip 1500. "

I certainly hope a rear clip was not hacked off this car. That really made no sense as even if someone has asked for it , what would you with the rest . Or wait.... was that what was meant by these two items on the list ...8500 for the Tub (front half) and 1500 for the rear half ?

But I seriously doubt that happened. Anyway , this car just intriqued me with a possible special buried story.
