    Ignition Switch Question

Well after 37 years I guess my ignition switch is going under. I have to turn it 4 or 5 times before I hit the starter spring.
Can anyone rebuild these or do I buy a new one?
Can they be rekeyed to my old key?

iF YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT AN IGNITION SWITCH FOR A CAR WITH THE LOCKING STEERING WHEEL THE KEY PART OF THE SWITCH IS SEPARATE FROM THE ELECTRICAL PART, SO YOU DO NOT HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT THE KEY. There are 2 small screws that hold the switch part to the key and lock part of the whole assembly, then the wiring harness large plastic round thing plugs into the switch part. I have one if this is what you are looking for.

I sprayed some liquid graphite into the lock to see if it gets better. Is your electric portion a new part? I'm going to crawl under there this weekend to see if it is possible to remove without taking the whole assembly out.
