    Flat latch panel car. Odd?

So this car is on the Samba. From what I've seen, only early early cars got the flat latch panel and yet this '68 912 appears to have one. All tell-tell signs indicate it is a '68. Were the flat latch panels ever reproduced?

1966 912. My first car. Bought it Nov. 25, 1988. Still have it.

I saw that too John. I think it's either body filler or someone created their own latch panel after an accident.
