location of switch for trunk/luggage cmpt. light?

Trying my hand at getting the luggage cmpt. lights working- does anyone know the location of the switch that activates the luggage cmpt. light? Connections seem to be intact, fuse good, new bulbs but nothing's is lighting up...

Trunk light switch is located on the passenger side hood hinge. Right between the two hinge bolts.

Also keep in mind that unless you have the trunk lights wired up to a hot lead on the fuse box, you have to turn the headlight switch on to the park light position for the trunk lights to work.

I guess the German logic is that you wouldn't need the trunk lights unless it was dark outside and you would have the park lights on to let other driver's know you are stationary.
