    RS Sighted in Munich!

A friend of mine just picked up a real RS a few months ago. We took it out for a quick spin today. Signal yellow is one of my favorite colors.
Thought I would share a small video of the car accelerating from a dead stop when he drove away. http://www.flickr.com/photos/30059306@N06/5174120097/

Very nice, probably my favorite early color. Any other detailed photos of the RS? Thanks.

    Hi Brian,
I had to make lunch for my kids so I only had 15 minutes to check out the car. I did take two other photos though. Here they are. He let me take the pilot's seat for a few minutes. Lots of fun and plenty of power where it's supposed to have it up top. The interior looked pretty original and in nice shape. The carper was original and had very little wear, the steering wheel was correct but had clearly been redone, he had a foglight switch but no foglights, 300kph speedo. The car had some really funky seatbelt clasps though. I have never seen them before. Rather than buckle in at the receivers, theses had long thin handles on the end that the belt fed through and then tilted forward and then pivoted shut into the belt receivers mounted to the seat consoles. Anyone ever seen these before? Perhaps they came from an early 70's BMW??? The headlights were H4's (did they have H1's in 1973?). Also, the wheels looked wider than 7's. They looked like 8's???

    Hi Garth,

Yes, H4 would be correct for the RS. Do you know what chassis# this is? Yes, it has 8" on the rear and 7" on the front. These maybe original to the car depending on when it was made.
