Chrome Plating one week turn around time!

    Hey Everybody,

Browns Plating is in my home town of Paducah, KY. They have done chrome plating on Harley stuff exclusively, until recently. I have been bugging him to do my Porsche parts for years.

I dropped off a set of vent window frames and interior rear quarter window latch mechanism yesterday. I was told I could pick them up in a week! Quality is EXCELLENT! and prices are reasonable. I will assist any of you guys all that I can. Ronnie likes to see the parts before he gives an estimate, so I could take some of my old parts out there for him to evaluate for a quote to save you guys from shipping in. He cannot anodize window frames, they are to big.

Here is his web site http://brownsplating.com/about.php

Let me know if I can help-Bill

Nice. Do they deal with corroded pot metal? The one thing that's hard to do right at a decent price is corroded horn grilles, and especially the ones cut for TTG lights.

He hates pot metal. I have a set of grills from a 71 around somewhere that I will take to him and ask. I am taking more stuff out tomorrow. I will respond tomorrow evening about plating horn grills.

Pot Metal NO PROBLEM. I took a set of my old grills from my 68 that are not terrible but need to be redone. He said he would re do them for me and post them on his web site. I told him he should start adding photos of my restored Porsche parts to his site for you all to see.

Does anybody out there have a set of really corroded ones? I might get him to do them at a steeply discounted price to show everyone what they are capable of.

I have a set so atrocious they look like they were immersed in the water at Scapa Flow. I would be happy to donate them to the effort.

Could you possibly post a photo? Are they TTG? This could be fun! I told him how picky we are about our stuff. He sort of rolled his eyes and said," Custom Harley guys...now they are PICKY!"

No they are not TTG but I would happily cut them. I can post a photo this weekend.
