    '71 Hazard Switch Removal

I'm wanting to remove my hazard switch in the front dash of my '71 and wanted to ask for tips on proper technique.

Simply remove each wire (about 7) from respective terminals the back? Or...it looks like in the middle of the barrel-type body has notches to turn the front half assembly @ 1/8 turn counterclockwise to perhaps unlock then seperate the front half from rear half with multiple terminals?. Don't want to lay into turning it if that is not the design.

    Any tips?

    Thanks,
    Mike

I have one in hand & it does not seem to separate!I bought this one and upon closer inspection I notice; the clips to hold it in place are broken off , it is probably useless. As far as twist and separate in the middle, I don`t think so.Cliff CORRECTION , well it looked like a two piece affair so I put some muscle on it and it did separate as the poor foto shows..Don`t worry about putting it back correct as the good people at Hella has put a groove length wise , so it only goes together one way! Might want to spray some WD 40 etc. to help ease it apart and not brake the two plastic clips near the dash.Recommend not twisting too much, just muscle it straight off, hence the lubricant.......Cliff
