Anyone here have a Bahama Yellow '68 911?

Feeling a little nostalgic. Wondering if any of you good people have my first car. Back in '87, I was two months out of high school in Portland, OR, and bought my first car, my first Porsche, the aforementioned '68. It was near mint and I got it for $5000. I drove it everywhere, I loved that car. But the most memorable thing I did to it was put my then girlfriend's, now my wife's, name and mine in one of the headlight buckets.

I don't have the VIN. I don't want to buy it, I don't even need to know who you are, just seeing if it's still out there. BTW the blue Oregon license plate was HCR 974.

    Thanks,
    Nate

Fritter, you need to check your headlight buckets.

I have a bahama '68. Which bucket is it?

Any other details you remember about the car?

Kind of a long shot as my car was sold in Cali and was bought in Cali by the prior owner in 2006. It had the original CA black plate in the smuggler box, I have it hanging on my garage wall.

Thanks for thinking about checking Mike. I believe it was the passenger side but I doubt yours is the car. Mine had the blue Oregon plates so it was probably in Oregon since day 1. And the smuggler's box was empty.

It had a wood steering wheel. Cracked dash. Recovered seats (the new vinyl covered up the holes for the headrests). Chrome steelies. The rest was stock.
