Coupe Ski Rack - Need Source for Repro (or NOS) Straps

I was referred to 356 NLA as possibly being a source for these, but they are sold out. They had some in stock from Germany several years ago and sat on them forever. The person I talked to said he thought they would never get rid of them. Then, poof, all of a sudden, all sold. That was two years ago.

So I need to find another potential source for these. The ones I have are not in good condition and don't want to put them on a rack that is going to end up looking really nice. Any suggestions from the brain trust out there? Try local interior guy? Saddle shop? Tony? Sure could use an assist from those that have been down this road. Plus, whatever I find could be a good source for leather door stop straps.

Interesting.. I just had a bunch made by a local leather shop for both my roof carrier and ski rack... Getting the right color was a little tricky. I made mine in 100% leather.. The OEM straps are actually fabricated in cardboard w/ leather veneer. She charged me something like $15/ea. More details if you need.

Thanks Jim. I will probably try that route. I would love the contact information. That would save me from trapsing all over Chicagoland looking for a suitable supplier. PM sent. Thanks.

BTW, the old straps that I pulled off sure look like 100% leather.
