I am. My checkbook is not!

OTOH, the Gurkha seems to be the vehicle of the future, considering the drivers around here anyway. I was riding with a friend who is a Sheriff the other day and we came to the conclusion that there are no traffic laws anymore. It's a total free-for-all, every man for his-own-self!!

Ain't that the truth! I was driving on 290 yesterday coming out of the city (normally bumper to bumper) and we are all doing about the speed limit. No where to go, no body to pass - just chill until the traffic breaks up. From behind comes this asshole doing damn near 80 to 90 - drives right up my bumper, flicks an unsafe lane change and proceeds to drive up the bumper of the car right next to me. He then starts to lane change back to mine in front of me - and the pr!ck has zero room. I mean zero - we have quarter panel overlap! I honk, but he comes over anyway. The only way I avoid an accident is to slam on the brakes. I let him know my displeasure at his dumbass move (no, I did not give the single finger salute - don't do that anymore). So what does he follow this up with? He slams on his brakes - and there is no room between us due to his previous A-hole move. All accomplished in about 15 sec in bumper to bumper 60mph traffic. Unbelievable!

    T6d...
You must live in chicago...that sounds an awful lot like the Eisenhower...leavin town.
yep...the old sod. I traded all that for life in the high desert (china lake), with regular dosages of L.A. freeways (my favs are the 405FW, I-15, I-10, I-5, 91FW, 22FW, 60FW)....keeps me from getting too complacent. and yes, these drivers are all related. Try 75mph bumper-to-bumper in the pouring rain w/zero visability...with this kind of pucker factor, who needs seatbelts?

    Cheers

I'll take mine with a .50 cal so as to clear away all the knuckleheads pulling out of side streets and driveways directly in front of me - who stay in my lane even though there's nobody in the lane next to me (regardless of which lane I'm in, mind you) - even after they look directly at me to make sure my closing speed is at least 45-50mph.

Thom, could as well have been the Dan Ryan, but in this case the Eisenhower. Actually, if there wasn't the volume of traffic (which created the whole situation to begin with), I would have loved to have "allowed" him his lane change. Just a slight move to the right (by me) as he is coming left into my lane, eewwwpppsss didn't mean to tap your left rear. One dumbass dipsh!t taken care off..... As he spins out in my rear view mirror. I hate bad driving.
