    Vricardo,

The badge may have started life as an orange bar crest but it was restored as a later burgundy bar crest. You may consider bringing this up with the restorer as the later burgundy bar crests are relatively common and can be purchased for <US$50.

Hey guys, thanks for the replies.
It was not me who did the restoring. It was done professionally, by an old specialist guy, with old school methods and old school materials. I was with him when he whent trough his shop, looking on the shelves for the vases with the right color glass of pigments. It's not made with modern enamel materials.
And maybe the color of the picture does not appear correct, but IT'S ORANGE FOR SURE – not burgundy.

    Lightbulb

For quick reference, the orange of an early badge (when new, clean, or restored) should be VERY close to Porsche #018 Tangerine.......

When did the color change to Orange? I had a 73S back 15 years ago and it have a red badge. I just bought a 73S and it too has a red badge. Would a 73 ever have had a red badge or definitely orange? Thanks
