Anyone have one they don't want or need?
I'd also appreciate a commercial source if anyone has one.
Thanks!

Dear Kent,
Maybe here you find your hub extension: http://www.rsr911.de/
I have no affiliation.
The seller is posting on Ebay.de pretty often.

Another source which I actually used. From my point of view very nice in terms of quality and plug+play. But pretty expensive: abt. 450 $ plus shipping.
Interesting solution. So how does the extended hub attach? Do you cut the rivets off the stock hub and mount to the extended?
Please let me know where this one came from and I can add it to the list.
Cheers

The extended hub above is much bigger than the factory solution. Very expensive too!
I made a couple of runs of retrofit extenders a few years ago which were well received. Here is the thread. http://www.early911sregistry.org/for...t=hub+extended
It is a bit of work drilling out the rivets, but the result is excellent. I would consider another run at a $150.00 each including the horn button support insert, but I would need a commitment of at least six units.

Hello Kent,
you are right, the rivets are drilled of and wheel + stock hub are mounted with screws. As mentioned by Cornpanzer the dimensions are bit bigger and the shape is
conical. A friend of mine www stimming de has had them manufactured for use on his RS and due to expensive manufacturing process he did 10 in access.
While not a 100% copy of the original it appears to be lighter and the look is in my opinion very harmonious.

I'd certainly be interested in an extension if priced in the $150 range. Let me know if others want to join in and make the minumum limit.
