    BMW 1er M coupe

I like the idea of the 1 series M (no where near as much as I like the M1). It is smaller and lighter than an M3 and has a proper six (and in alloy) with lots of torque. The wider track, Aluminum suspension links and dampers, revised suspension kinematics, and aerodynamics are nice. I like it better than the E92 M3, but not previous M3s.

It is nowhere near the E30 M3 they took photos with.

    Tough crowd.

I like the big wide flares and the view of the rear is nice, with the little lip spoiler thing. The mirrors are too fussy and I hate them. I would swap them for the E36 M3 mirrors. The front is on par with the E92 M3 i.e. not one of BMW's better designs. At least the weird hood bulge and vents are not there.

The picture of the new one next to the E30 is like rubbing salt into a wound, ouch! It reinforces how weird the new ones look compared to the classic line of the E30. Way too much going on for no apparent reason in the new design, imo.

The local Chevy dealer made the same mistake by putting one of the new Camaros, when first released, next to a '68 on the lot. The size difference in that case was alarming.
