    new 997.2 GT3 RSR

The new 997.2 GT3RSR has wider (12inch) front tires, supposedly to give more front bite and less understeer. I should think that would only be a result of greater load on the front tires, since the tires on the 2010 car were already lightly stressed. The wider ones need more load to get up to operating temperature and optimal grip. That must either come from a more forward weight (ballast?) bias or possibly the new deeper front splitter is adding enough extra downforce on the front.
