    Fan Shroud Clamp, 2 bolt vs. 1 bolt, 2.4 liter engines

    Guys,

    When do I use a 2 bolt clamp to secure the 1973 engine fan shroud and when do I use the one bolt version. I have two of each and can not remember what goes where or why. Is it by engine type (T vs S) or did it change on a specific date?

    If this issue is discussed on a previous thread, could I ask for assistance in finding the thread.

    I believe the change from two bolt to one bolt for all models was around March of '73.......

    Thanks for the help. The COA says the build date for my 73 S with Sporto was 4/16/73. So it looks like I go with the one holer. Of course, when I looked at the 73.5 CIS Targa, I noticed that somewhere along the line it acquired a 2 hole clamp. Just one more project to add to the list. But then it looks like a long winter here in Ohio. 10 degrees and 4 inches of snow tonight and it is still only 15 December.
