    WTB: Sportomatic manifold valve

Restoring our '68T Sporto and found a small problem: the small bronze spring in the manifold vacuum valve is broken in two.

Looking for either a complete working valve for the 905 gearbox, or a source for the spring and diaphram material. The correct sized replacement spring we found is too stiff. I'm afraid it will prevent the proper amount of vacuum from the manifold. If anyone knows the spec for the correct stiffness of the spring that would be a huge help... ditto membrane material.

Many thanks in advance... the Sportomatic.org site is Tango Alpha.

    Felix Natividad, ya'll.

EDIT Thank you Maurice @ Stoddard. Part is available from Porsche if somewhat dear: $125 each. Will disassemble one to determine the spring tension and make some spares!

If we're talking about the check valve that mounts to the left side manifold, I found the same problem; broken spring. I did a lot of searching and found some to be available at popular dismantlers.

If you are talking about #21 in the attached diagram...I've got one available.

Thanks for putting up the parts illustration, Tom. Not the servo (#21) but the manifold valve (#12).
