Wiper & Light switch mount removal

I am cleaning up my '68 911 interior for racing and would like to remove the mounting bracket assembly which holds the switches and stalks for the wipers and headlight controls.

I've pulled everything off and it looks like the bracket is welded or soldered to the steering column.

Can anyone offer suggestions as to how to remove this as pictured here
