    Hapewe pliers. 2 styles, which was when used

    I have two different style of Hapewe pliers. Most obvious difference is the location of Hapewe. Side vs on 'top' of the arms.

    I would like to learn when which was used.

    I personally believe the one on the right is 73.5 and later. The one on the left is much later. I don't believe that any Hapewe pliers came in any toolkit up to mid 73. The only contrary item I've ever seen is one that came to me in a supposedly NOS early 73 toolkit. But... I've never found another substantiated toolkit with these pliers in them. I've never found a kit in any car I've owned or any toolkit I've ever bought as a partial original kit to contain a Hapewe pliers. So, I guess I'll hold the door open to some use in early 73, but that's it.
