Short winter project just for fun! Dash Timer content - Show'em if you got'em..

I have always been a big fan of the look of dash timers on early cars. The vintage Heuer dash timers have skyrocketed in price and to me, only make sense if you are putting them in a high dollar car. I know there are other alternatives ranging from a few hundred dollars to several thousand like the Heuers, but I wanted to create something cost effective, relatively period correct and utilizing timers that are of high quality. Hence my project began with early 70's Omega timers. I have one now and two additional timers inbound from a collector in Italy. My goal is to make a timing set consisting of 3 timers, each with the ability to measure time in different increments. To be clear, I am only doing this for the nostalgic look as my car will be far from winning any rallye's I thought it would be fun accessory

Here are a few pics thus far:

Zuluracerx, you are very fortunate as I am sure you know. The Heuer set you have is INCREDIBLE! Would love to see the set mounted in you car once installed...All the best to you, Craig

Oh yes, I know how valuable they have become. What an investment if you bought these new at $52 bucks each back in the 60's. They are surprisingly heavy for what they are. I will, however, be making the weight sacrifice of installing just the same. Good luck on your project. It's funny how GPS has obsoleted all this vintage stuff, but there is no replacing "cool". John
