    Really interesting pics!! thanks xenifizi.
Do you have the same perspective for the rear flares?

This question has been discussed in several threads over the years. Here are some pics from the day, and of restored cars, which show that the rear of the front flares extends outward more than the 72 ST in Gulf colors...more like the RSR flare shown. The factory ST flares were done both in fiber glass and steel, and also were supplied as a complete fender (mud guard) in fiber glass. They appear to have varied somewhat over the few years they were produced. We also know that competition teams modified flares, but mostly it was the rear flares it seems.

Thanks Gib. I think the point of xenifizi pics is that were took from the same perspective, same height, same light and that make them directly comparable.

I'm not so sure about that orange RSR - which chassis number is it? Nearly all of them have been restored so you may not be looking at an OEM pattern arch. Same goes for STs I guess.

I think they are original. Those units are quite famous, featured in several magazines ... see (and listen) this video

    Hi,

    Great pics and info.
In case these help: These are new front ST arches we have made here in the UK. Seen here in bare metal, all be it fitted to new factory front wings, you can get a better feel for the profile.
