Is anyone familiar with this 73E coupe able to comment on it? I'm interested, and would like to hear any thoughts before committing to a PPI.
Thanks!
Nice car I think it will sell for $40k +/- $2K and maybe $45k

Car was well bought. It was poorly photographed. Engine and tranny had 12K miles on rebuild. Car should have sold for around $42K or more.

If there are no hidden issues, I would also agree, well bought, nice car, nice color.

Looks like it could have been a nice buy. The seller never came out and said the engine was matching numbers to the car. That may be why the price was not any higher.

From the limited photos, the car looked very nice. It is a cool color with great options. But the seller did a pretty poor job of marketing, leaving the buyer to make some large assumptions. Original engine, rust, floorpans?
It certainly could be a decent deal if all the unknowns break in the buyer's favor. But it doesn't take too much wrong with the car for that to turn the other way. Things like the cracked dash, stereo and door speakers, floppy map pockets, incorrect engine details, limited feedback made me shy away from the car. Being from North Carolina didn't help either.
In this market, to get top dollar I think you have to really present a car perfectly. Large detailed photos could have done just that--or they could have revealed the car to be less than imagined.
$38K was actually a little strong with the unknowns IMO. I think the buyer has taken a bit of a gamble unless he had some of these questions answered through a PPI or additional information.
