1964 911 on Craigslist in Denver

I have absolutely no affiliation with the seller, but I thought I'd pass this along in case it actually is what he claims.

    Here's the CL posting:
I am selling an old Porsche 911 that has been in storage for many years. It is in good condition and has never been wrecked.
Will post some pics tomorrow once I get it out of the garage if it doesn't snow too much. I really would like to sell to someone that will restore the car.
I checked and there were only 232 built in 64 and not many left. This car has the 6 solex carbs and a wood dash.
This car has alot of potential and will be worth a ton of money when restored.

I know...it's either that everyone is planning in secret, or no one believes it's true. Hard to really gauge what the guy has with no photos. If it really IS a '64, and he's selling it on CL, he might not have a solid grasp on the real value of what he has. I have pinged him about the serial number and requested that he post images asap.

Haha - yeah I'm sure he has about 250 + emails by now offering him "$4k over asking" or "I'll give you $5K sight unseen".

This seller knows what he has and is just testing the market since he did not list a price.

He is indeed fishing for its value, so perhaps you're right that he's playing coy. But why sell it on CL? -Not exactly the best place to sell a rare bird like that.

I checked and there were only 232 built in 64...
<-- This was the part that made me think he might have recently inherited it or otherwise became the owner inadvertently. -If you have been a long-time owner of a 1964 911, you know exactly how few of them were made that model year...unless you live under a rock...which is entirely possible.

    I guess we'll see...

I have resisted the temptation to email in deference to those who need a 64 more than I do....
But it is curious and I hope that someone here gets it!

I'll wait for Jordan to post the info. Too many trying to contact might be a bad thing.

I suspect this car may be in Sheridan, WY.

I have been reliably informed that this is not a Sheridan car. Looking forward to hearing more from those pursuing it...
