    S registry SE PA Origin

I always thought the S registry was a West Coast founded organization but no it was down the road in West Point PA. Interesting article from 1992 Pano Mag. Note last line of paragraph 2 under the question concerning 1968 911S for vintage racing. "someday these cars are probably going to be worth something"

Yep. Betsi & Vern started it all. I'm amazed to see the Esses now and think back to when it was just a simple newletter on plain white 8.5" x 11" paper...

Being one of the first 100 charter members (#90) I forget how long ago this started and its humble beginnings. I was one of 6 members at the first Early S meeting at the host hotel bar at the 91 Boston Parade. I tend to think everyone knows the history, but of course not everyone does, so its good that it's repeated on occasion. Thanks for bringing this up Luke.

    Luke,

I like the first part of the phrase too, "I think that registries for these odd ball cars are a really good idea" Yeah I think so too!

PS Ed, I'm not surprised to hear about the PCA roots in the Early S registry, very cool.
