    Early 911 Original Bolt Suppliers

    Hello,

Can anybody provide me with contact details of where I can buy (retail) Verbus, Graeka etc bolts originally fitted to my 1971 911E. I live in Australia so I am after suppliers able to ship to me.

Porsche were able to provide me with most bolts to retro-fit front and rear sway bars (stabilisers) to my 911 except for M8 x 40mm bolts.

    Cheers,

    Norbert.

    Norbert,

Fortunately for you, your 1971 E was made after a change to the DIN system for denoting property-class. SWB cars have, for example, high-strength bolts labeled "10K" whereas your 71 should say "10.9"

Most of those fastener manufacturers are now part of Acument Global technologies. Verbus, Inbus, etc. http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Inbus If you want originals, probably the best thing to do is visit a salvage yard-- most modern bolts dont have those headmarks.

Your best bet is an official porsche dealer, I have gotten Verbus fasteners in original factory bags. If you don't mind Chinese or Taiwanese headmarks, then www.mcmaster.com is a good source, but you will have to check to see whether they can ship to Aus.

    Good luck!

I have a dozen or so coffee cans full of used original engine hardware from '65-'89.

Let me know if I can help.

I'll have to check...I've only had one '65 motor recently.

I'll need to see if the fittings went with the case.

    Hi Tom,

Thanks for your kind offer. I am looking for four M8 x 40mm grade 8.8 bolts. They are part of the front stabiliser bar for 1971. Porsche for some reason has these NLA.

I am happy pay for them and of course to shipping to Australia,

    Regards,

    Norbert.

    I've found (2) originals.

I'll have to do some more hunting to find (2) more.
