    I believe this car was discussed some time ago. I think there was some light corrosion in the engine compartment and its was attributed to ocean air being owned near the coast. Will be holding a long time at that price.

    I think they use it as a loss leader to get inquiries on other cars they'll try to match up or sell. They had the car on Samba with no price claiming they had others too.

    But it has a 1972 transmission, so what else is not original?

    I noticed that trans # too. Looks like it's been with the car for a long time though.
    It's a minor detail, but the tool bag isn't right, is it? Also, the fog/driving light switch is missing.
    This one will probably sit for a while @ $95K, given that the black '73S from http://73porsche.com/ is priced identically and has been a "no-sale" in recent ebay auctions.
    Who knows, maybe the market will turn around in the next few months...
