WTB: old black coil for MFI

    The title says it all

I am looking for a good used, or preferably NOS, black German made Bosch coil with the number 0.221.121.001 stamped in the bottom.

Mine may, or may not, have been cooked today by the CDI. It was a good reminder to get another one, hopefully as a spare if my current 37 year old one still works, or as a replacement if it has died.

I have no interest in silver ones and even less interest in silver ones painted black

    thanks

    COS Bosch coil

Not NOS...but how about COS? (Crusty Old Stock) I have the original coil from my 71E. It looks like a 40 year old coil...or is it just that "patina" I've heard so much about? If that is so, it has patina up the kazoo, but it works well and will make a good spare.

    $100+shipping

    Regards,

    Al

    Thanks
I love the "COS" description. Mine has even more patina - all the black has crazing over it (although it still has the original sticker)

I am having a PM exchange about another one but will take yours - as you say it will make a good spare and having a spare in the car would have saved me a good couple of hours yesterday even if it was ultimately something else that was at fault.
I will PM you about details

    regards

    Hugh

    Hugh,
You've been PM'd. I'm glad that you got a kick out of the COS.........I'm starting to meet that description myself.
