    vintage roof rack for early 911?

    Anybody know where to find one? what to expect to pay?

    I assume you are seeking a rack for a coupe. This board was very helpful to me: several threads here refer to the original factory part with pictures from the accessory catalogue. I believe coupe part number for early cars was 90180101001. Complete with (8) leather straps expect to pay $1000 - $2000, more or less depending on condition of item. I found a very nice one complete on the bay for around $1300.
    Good luck on the hunt - they come up rarely.

    I found one in the original box (the type that mounts on the decklid) on e-bay. It is the early 70's style. I am thinking about coping it. This is the black version with rubber straps and a key lock chain. Any interest?
