    FS:Vasek Polak License Plate Frames

Real Vasek Polak License Plate Frame
I am selling this excellent condition Vasek Polak License Plate Frame.I have had this on my wall for over 20 years which my dad who was one of the master mech's at Beverly Hills Porsche in the late 70's and the 80's gave to me after a customer wanted BH frames instead of the Vasek's.This all happened well before they went up in value and these repro's started popping up everywhere. Just a little history on the frame. This is a actual dealership frame from the Vasek Polak Car Dealership.Across the street was the racing division and the saloon was next door where you could get a drink. So only the frames with Hermosa Beach were from cars bought from Vasek. They did have Vasek Polak repair shops in Manhattan Beach and Hermosa and I think a volkswagon shop in Redondo in the early days. This is why you see some Vaseks say different cities. I have seen real Vasek's in pretty beat up condition sell never less than $500-$700 if they are dealership frames. You will not see to many in your lifetime for sale and almost never this well taken care for.And not to mention having this not only looks awsome but turns heads all the time. These are stamped on the back and the tabs that hold the frame are perfectly intact.Light wear in the black but the chrome is awsome and these are straight. The price for 1 Vasek License Plate Frame is $700 .I will pay shipping w/tracking and insurance.Paypal accepted. Thanks speedracer901

The fakes from manhattan beach or the real deal like these ones.I got these from my dad when he was the master mechanic at Beverly Hills Porsche in the 80's.A customer wanted hers taken off for the beverly hills frames when Vasek was still in buisness. There is a fine line between what looks real and what is real.I have looked at these plates on my wall for 23 years and thought they should be on a porsche, maybe even one sold from vasek himself, but to each his own.I guess all the people who offered me 400-500 for these should either go to ebay or know which is which. Thanks for your feedback and always welcome a price check and to verify authenticity.I sold a Bob Smith for more than $200 a couple months back by the way .

There was never a Vasek repair or sales shop in Redondo Beach , Porsche or VW
Vasek never had a VW dealership untill the very end and was pissed about it ,
Riviera VW was in Manhatten Beach a few blocks up from Vasek BMW which was on the west side of the street , Vasek Saab was on the east side where much of the race car parts were stored,
Vasek in Hermosa was on Second street and PCH

So actually Vasek Manhatten Beach is the hard one to find since I believe it started where the Saab shop was and later moved to Hermosa....

Is the Bob Smith frame a Porsche/VW? If so, do you want to sell it? Please PM me.
