Getting Lil Red in shape for spring

Just wanted to thank the membership for all the great advice these past few months. I purchased an 85% complete 68 sunroof coupe in polo red. Several members warned me of the potential pit falls of buying a car with no interior, (essentially an empty shell), parts missing, electrical items needed but I went for it anyway and had a lot fun putting it back together....The previous owner had a ton of great parts to work with and I felt like overall it was a great deal. due to the pre-warnings, when the mechanic found a major oil leak in the fly wheel seal / trans...that was an expensive uninvited pitfall but the rest was smooth sailing. I found an interior guy who installed a classic one stye radio w ipod connection, carpet kit, front hood perliner, interior headliner and seats. (whole interior job for $1600.00)

We have been completely blasted with snow and salt this past month so I haven't been able t get her on the road as much as I would have liked.

The information through the search function was just incredible here. [ATTACH][ATTACH]Name: IMG_1934.jpg

I thought I should mention who has been incredibly helpful throughout the process:

Gene from Autohaus in Chatham, gene is the master on these cars and doesn't rip you off
Dan Petchel aka Targa Top Dan / Cars Inc. in Bordentown, NJ, great prices and found everything
Jorge from Sierra Classic in CA
Brian Farmer from Einmalig in Huntington Beach

Most importantly Lewis Eig our esteemed member who went out of his way to make me feel welcome with invites to events and just an incredible knowledge base on these P-Cars and where to look for stuff. He also was a previous owner of an MB 113 Pagoda...which previously was my only classic car.

    Thanks again.
