This is the kind of 930 that really gets me excited and fired-up. I can just picture this Turbo being the ideal R Gruppe car in about 10 years. It has some great subtle refinements that are not only true to the car, but are also era-appropriate. Too often, these 930s have scary modifications that look like crap and are poorly installed. From the G50 5-speed to the rare Ruf wheels and fast spooling K27 turbo, this classic Porsche is perfect! It has just the right attitude…I love it!

The current owner adopted it about 7 years ago after his brother passed away. His brother purchased the car just a few years after it was delivered new. The car was originally delivered to a Porsche dealership in Alabama and then it relocated to Florida. While these brothers owned this car, no expense was spared. All the right and tasteful modifications were performed and no service or repairs were ever over-looked. When you look over the one-inch thick stack of receipts, you will realize that these owners were not shy about spending money on the car.

In 2005, the car was shipped from Florida to Southern California where the current owner decided to have the car completely gone through. The car had been sitting for a few years since his brother passed away. Anything and everything that needed work was done by a very reputable local mechanic. The same mechanic has worked on this car ever since it came to California.

Some of the enhancements and repairs include the following:

Very rare original Ruf 930 wheels (17”)
    996 Mirrors
    5-speed G50 transmission
    Short shift kit
    B&B high flow exhaust
    H5 headlights
Bluetooth with remote speaker Alpine unit
    Aluminum Weissach Sport Pedals
    Aluminum gauge rings
Momo Steering wheel (see pictures…Prototipo shown is available for an additional fee)
Top and bottom of engine completely rebuilt
Upgraded C2 chain tensioner kit update
Complete brake system overhaul (master cylinder, rotors, pads, shoes, etc.)
Rear sway bar kit and front strut bar
    Cold air intake
    Rebuilt shift linkage
    Factory clock-mounted turbo boost gauge

Unfortunately, the current owner did not drive the car much since he got it in 2005. In fact, it sat covered in his garage for almost the entire time. So, at the end of last year, he decided to have the car brought out of storage and prepared for use. He ended up spending over $7,000 getting everything in tip-top shape. He was still torn on whether to sell it (since he really didn’t drive it much) or keep it in remembrance of his brother. The car went to TruSpeed where they installed a newer K27 Turbo and oil lines, new clutch and lightened flywheel, new engine seals, and head studs. Basically, they resealed everything and dealt with any oil leaks. Also, the A/C system was serviced and a modern compressor was installed. Now it blows ice cold with no leaks.

This car has been completely gone through. I really can’t find anything wrong with it. It is one of the those rare 930s that is ready to be enjoyed without the first-year nightmare ownership of repairs that so often happens when purchasing a 930. Also, new rear tires were installed.

This turbo was delivered new with the following options:

    Locking differential
    Factory alarm system
    Sunroof

This turbo comes complete with owner’s manuals, records, tool kit, spare, jack, and an extra key.

The car has a clear and clean Florida title.
