1973 carrera rs value

Anyone know where the 73 rs values are in todays world.? I hear they are maintaing levels above 200K most of the time.

Last year a number of "Master" restored RSs traded in the $335,000 to $375,000 range with the RS restored by Porsche selling for $400,000 w/ an additional $40,000 buyers premium. There are currently two non-restored or lightly restored cars available in the $265,000 +/- range. I do believe one has a replacement case (original included) and the other is just rough. There is also a just restored by " Master" car that the asking is also $400,000 but I believe it might be already heading to Europe.

Thanks Macroni for the help. I see you help out a great deal with posts and I appreciate it very much. It's funny, in high school , a friend of mine had the last name of Ronzini. I gather you know what we call him! Ronzoni boy. As an Italian American, we had a great deal of fun with that. It's all good.

Yes, thanks for sharing those sale results with us. For clarification, were the 'Master' restoration cars M472, 471 or both models?

"Master" is my term...... These are obviously only sales I know of. It does appear there are more transactions in Europe. I do not know what Gallogly's car or the Porsche restored (Master?) are, 472 or 471. I do seem to think the tangerine RS was restored as a lightweight. The other two (1 offered @ $400K and 1 sold @ $375K) are tourings.

I think it depends on the CAR, and how badly the buyer wants one. There are very few available at any given time, and VERY FEW good ones EVER. I don't think you could find a 'good' one for under $200K. I think REALLY nice ones top out over $400k.

Referenced to restoration.... Again "Master" is my convenient term we have them in my industry.... Individuals that are noted for their pride in workmanship, subject knowledge, attention to detail, access to parts, have the required tooling and most importantly are judged by the authenticity of their work. Their restorations tend to set the market ...... They have a following who buy their works at a premium and will wait years for their availability...... they will not cut corners and do not need to misrepresent ......Passionate with almost innate ability.....There is more than one but not many more.

Candidly, I am but a novice who can listen, read and admire......
