    Question 69 911S or WHAT?

    I came across a 69 911 recently vin #119300xxx
The car should be a lwb fuel injected s right?
I measured the wheelbase and it was 871/2", that swb right?
The car only has one battery in front of the left wheel well beside the gas tank, shouldn't the car have 2 batteries in series?
The car has the interior mirror mounted on the roof wasn't 69 on the windsheild?
The car has the old style chrome rimmed green gauges sold be black.
The car has 901-02 engine serial number is from 68 911s.
I'm a little confused I'm sure the car has been changed but just wanted to get some feedback of any similar irregularities I know these cars didn't follow any real numbering system untill 69-70.
    I would appreciate any comments

I can help you with identification. Do you have possesion of the car to be able to remove a few parts and get photographs?

Wow, this should be a good one. The vin # is 69S but nothing else indicates it is. Eagerly awaiting Dave !

    photos

As discussed I have taken a few pictures, they are poor quality taken with my crackberry, I will attempt to add them to the thread.
I did a little more research and I think the car may be an A program 911s built in early 68
The car has the early vent system outlets on the door sills.
Doors still have opening front quarter windows.
Old style 12 place horizontal fuse panel.
Still has heater control ahead of sifter.
I can't see any oil cooler in fender as was std for s in 69.

That's definitely a 69S chassis number, perhaps this car has a front-cut welded
    onto a 68.

Those pictures aren't really much use, can you do some more with a proper camera
(compact is fine, need not be fancy) and decent lighting? A good idea is to host
the images externally on flickr or another photo hosting site as our system here
only allows images to 100k last time I checked.

We need way better photos than that to identify the car.
