    1968 911L Sporto

I picked this up some time ago to restore, but just do not have the time. I need the space in my shop more than another project! The engine is out and partially dissasembled by the PO. It is a sand cast case. Webers look to be rebuildable. It had been sitting outside neglected. Typical battery area rust, some rust in the pans and parcel shelf, but they may not need to be completely replaced. At least one repaint and what looks to be minor damage to the driver's door. Interior is complete, but rough. It came with what looks to be NOS aftermarket heat exchangers, timing chains, and some engine rebuild parts. I'm not going to misrepresent anything! I'll tell you whatever you want to know about the car, and send pics of whatever you want to see. It's rough, but a restoreable "below the salt belt" southern car. $7000 obo cash. Email me at: perry@qsnap.com or call me at work (Q Snap) at 800-867-4712, leave a message if no one answers.

    More pictures

More pictures. Please note that I'm a 914-6 guy and I'm not hip with early 911's, so if I'm out of range on the price of this car, flame on! I'm not looking for a grand slam on this thing, but I'm not giving it away either.

    pics of parts

Pics of parts. I think the heat exchangers may be aftermarket, a little surface rust, looks worse in the pics. New chains, and new or reman rocker arms, and some other engine rebuild parts.

More pics, including some of the ugly

Here's more pics, and some of the uglyness. There is a gas heater in the smuggler's hatch. The pan around the pedal cluster, and the battery area is pretty ugly. I'm certain the PO had let water get in and sit in the pan. Some guys don't learn that a couple holes in the floor aren't that hard to fix! There's also some rust right below the passenger rear window.

    Hi Perry,

Thank you for getting back to me quickly and spending the time to cover the details of the project 911. I wish this thing was closer to me I will let you know what my local search here in Norcal goes.

    Good luck on the sale,

BTW: This will be a sweet project for someone that color is the best plus all the parts there......
