Well, it is official, I took delivery of my new/old 1973 911S this afternoon. #9113301282. It is basically a one owner car. Technically I am the forth owner, but the first and third owner only owned it for about a year and a half. The second owner bought it in 1974 owned it until 2009. I have all the documentation, with many of the receipts during its life. I even have the original banking docs from when he financed it and paid it off. He was very detailed with all his notes. I have not sorted through all the history yet, but sometime in 1993, the MFI went down on him and he could not find anyone to fix it. He got frustrated and parked it in his garage until 2009, when it was purchased by the individual I bought it from. The MFI has been repaired and the car now runs. The man that owned it for most of his life is now 74 years old. It is numbers matching, one repaint, original interior. The interior will need a little love as well as other things, obviously, the car is after all 38 years old. I will take it slow and just repair as needed. My main emphasis is to finish my '68 912, so I do not want to get too side tracked. The floors and pans are in amazing condition and there is no rust evident. It has had one repaint back in 1989. Most of it's life was in Atlanta, GA. What makes this car really special to me is I owned a 73S back in 1983, which I sold to fund an office purchase. I never thought I would find another one and always regretted selling that car, even though it was the right thing to do at the time. So now I have my S back. Different color, but same car. This car is optioned very nicely. I will post the COA later, but for starters it has leather interior, limited slip and factory air conditioning. I do not think I will be selling this one any time soon. Here are some pics from tonight when I rolled it into my shop. I have the original correct rear rubber bumperettes, which will be reinstalled. I also plan on removing them from the front and replacing the deco with a solid piece. Lots of plans, just takes time. One of the first projects besides getting it running in tip top form will be to get the missing radio pieces and dash sorted out. Thanks in advance for all the help you guys will be giving me with all the questions I will be asking. If anyone sees any of the dash or radio parts for sale let me know. I just missed a nice ebay auction last week for the entire setup. There will be others. Thanks, Mark
