need the air intake hose, 73 E

I am usually good at finding parts for my car. Striking out when looking for the air intake boot (hose). The big black hose that connects the air cleaner housing to the thingamajig on the left that directs hot air into the intake when cold.

Supprised no one makes these. Real simple part.

    Thanks,

    Chris

    Are you talking about:
    Part # OEM-91110827200
For sale by Pelican for $75? I was looking for the same part a while back. Haven't bought it yet, but I believe this is what you're describing.

That's it. Thanks. $74 (+ shipping) for a three inch long rubber hose. Unbelieveable (having a hard time justifying this).

I completely agree. Best not to run with the flapper box anyhow, or so they say.
You could call the local dealer and give them the part number. I've had good luck with special order parts this way, no extra fees etc. Either that or one of the Porsche wrecking yards may have it.

    Good luck.

Not sure where you are, but I've had good luck with Sunset Motors Porsche in Beaverton, Oregon. I was looking for the hose from the air intake to the oil tank on a 1971. Other places I checked wanted $50 + tax. Sunset $10.82 + about $5 shipping, no sales tax for me. I asked about 3 times to be certain I was getting the right part. It was.

Thanks, I will give Sunset a call. Is this a junk yard or new parts?

Sunset is the local Porsche dealer. They do a good job.

In case it helps, you can still buy them new from Porsche. Your Porsche dealer will be able to get one from Germany. The last one I bought was £34 thats $55.
