2.4S F serie Bosh injection pump

    Hello to all members,
I have a question about my 73 Targa 2.4S ; I bought the car to the first owner in Italy and it is all matching #'s.
But I tought that the 2.4S have a 013 Bosh injection pump; I was surprised that mine is a 021 ....
The car run great but it's just to know
Thanks in advance for your help
    Gil

    Gil,

    They had both....

About the first half of the F series S production was the #013 (dark in color) and the second half was the #021 (shiny in color)

    Hope this helps...

    Cheers

I have #013 as the MFI pump for Euro 2.4S and #021 as the MFI pump for the US market 2.4S.

You are correct John. The US Spec 021 pump had the 1/52R regulator & #061 space cam, and the Euro Spec 013 pump had the 1/41R regulator & #053 space cam.

I need to chime in here as I've also been wondering about my pump for a bit. My '73 S has the 013 pump. What are the major differences between the two (US/euro) regulators and space cams? Does this change output or the power/torque curve?

Thanks Philippe. I also gathered that there were some differences based on the emissions values in the CMA manual.

Kent, Philippe is right on about the minor flow differences between the 021 & 013. The #061 space cam in the USA 021 pump is shaped a little different, very little, in a leaner idle and mid range to meet the USA emissions. Also the main rack adjustment is set up a little different than the Euro version. The only differents I can see is the main rack set up for the USA 021 is 1mm deeper @ 2000 rpm than the Euro 013 which leads to a little leaner A/F ratio. As far as HP/Torque specs. I can't find any difference in the manuals.
