Seek History of my 911

Have just bought a Porsche 911 coupe, still pretty good condition lying in garage for last 10-15years. no history so want to research it. chassis number. vin..307782s & engine number. 961433, its a LHD probably a US import! can anyone help in establishing manufacture year, type of engine, gearbox type etc, etc.

That would be a 1967 911S and appears to have the correct type engine (901/02). I believe that engine would be original to the car. If you can post a photo of the paint badge on the drivers door hinge post, I can help further. There are type # and build #'s to be found on the engine, see this thread:

The transmission # can be found on the bottom rib below the differential section. Often it is scrubbed since it is the lowest part.

i just got the car home and i took a picture of the stamped plate on the drivers side door, but it covered in paint but i can see 4 numbers "6002" on the bottom part of the plate. i will try and clean of the paint so i would be able to see the other numbers, but if u can give me any information with just these numbers it would be very helpfull thanks

6602 would be polo red. It's much easier for us to help you if you
post your pictures. Also more entertaining for us :-)
