the VIN number should have shown this is a Targa but whats the deal with
those people? this is appalling.

There are, literally, dozens of little details that are easy to overlook. Especially if you are, say, 25 years old and not ensonced in Porsche. That is why a COPY of the Kardex is IMPOSSIBLE to beat!!! Thanks.

Don't they offer refunds?
I had the exact same thing happen to me with my SWT, COA came back noted as a coupe......had to call and Kristen fixed it.
This is usefull information, I have had similar issues... How do I reach Kristen? I have seen her name mentioned more than once and she seems to understand and be capable of corrections.
Thanks!

This is a Kardex:
The Kardex is the original factory warranty record for a car.
A COA is PCNA's interpretation of some of the information on the Kardex.
If the interpretation is faulty, then the COA is incorrect. Many have to be returned for corrections, some many times.
See this thread for various nuances on the Kardex topic:

The Material color/type will indicate houndstooth. It will say pepita and /P if it is houndstooth. Similarly corduroy and /C for that material. The Kardex and COA generally only list options. So if the wood wheel was standard, then it is not listed. There is no substitute for knowing the standard features of a particular model. If you are a real expert then you will know what rules were broken and when. I am just an ex-squirt.

so Kardex is somewhat like a factory build sheet. I had an early Nova which came with GM's build sheet for the car along with the factory window sticker and additional options slip.
