Hi Clyde,
The hazard switch is two pieces that come together in the middle. If you pull on it from the backside of the dash it will eventually come off. If it seems stuck, wiggle it a bit. It will come (I am pretty sure I don't have to say this, but don't pull it by the wires?)
So its pull, wiggle and pull some more there is no clip arrangement stopping it from separating is there and no i won't pull on the wires
Thanks

No clip to hold the two pieces in place. Last time I helped a friend he had the same problem. It will come apart. The two pieces are plastic so they can't be rusted together.
Hi Clyde,
Here is a thread from the Pelican with a hazard switch. Perhaps the reason it is not coming loose is that you may be pulling on it to close to the middle. The two pieces come together unevenly like saw blade teeth. Maybe when grabbing it from the middle you are holding onto parts of both ends rather than just the rear. Try grabbing it more from the rear end so you know that you only have hold of the end piece. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/porsc...tches-71t.html

A good nights sleep and I got it!!!....... so 3 pieces of trim removed
Now to remove the heater controls I have to detach the cables from the heater box in the luggage area and undo the nut on the bracket at the back of the controls
under the dash and then pull forward.......correct??

To redo the dash you do not need to remove the complete heater defrost assembly. Just the chrome trim. Carefully lift up be carefull to not twist it.
