    1971 Stock Seats

I was fortunate to acquire a set of 71 Sport Seats that are at Auto International having a bottom bolster in the driver's seat and a top bolster in the passenger seat recovered. The seats were too good to have them completely recovered. I refinished the frames myself using satin Por 15.

Curious if I should bother trying to sell the stock set of seats. They are in very good condition with no rips. What are they worth?

Photos of Sports seats when they return in a few weeks. I apologize upfront if I have broken proticol by asking for opinions on value instead of posting a price.

Please respond to Lynn with PM's and when he feels he has a good idea of a stated price he will re-post his seats back in our classifieds...

    Raj,

    Good question on protocol....

I started the practice a long time ago to first get the seller's price inquiries off the classifieds and back into the General Forum to confirm the 'Stated Price' rule in our classifieds. Then, after awhile, we were using LOTS of band width on the General Forum with back and forth valuations of numerous posts on parts. So, I figured for less confusion for the inquirer, a little less space on the board, and a little 'self defense' for me....... I would try out this protocol.... and it's kind of worked.

It is, I admit, not very 'transparent' to either inquirer or board members...

If the board wants we can try it back the other way and see if it works......

    Cheers

While we're talking about '71 seats, is there any source for the correct basket weave material that was used for the centers of the seat? Black, if it matters...

    Thanks,
    Jeff
