1967 transmission support mounts - replacement?

    Hi Guys,

A friend is rebuilding his 66 911. If the rubber mounts in the support bar are "toast" is the ONLY solution replacement ($700)? or is there an alternative or work-around for this?
I've only ever owned 72s and 73s so the "easy" and cheaper solution with these years is not an option.

    Your advice appreciated,

Never understood why this tail still lurks. We have changed the bushes (with aftermarket ones) on over 50 of these early fix bush bars. Over here we fit "super pro" bushes in them. I have them in stock if needed but there must be a US stockist.

Thanks for that, Alan. Have also received a reply from one of our group who has put me onto the Wevo site which offers refurb and a DIY option. Interesting that there are many "authoritative" companies who suggest complete replacement as the only solution.
Thanks everyone! This registry is great!

Can you show photos of the process? And part numbers for the mounts?

    Thanks
