I have attached some pictures and wanted to get some feedback on media blasting or chemical strippping.

...Oh the horror!!! 80s rear flares and whale tail, pimped out yellow upholstery (on classic sport seats...gack!), and a steering wheel from an early 90s conversion van. All this done to a '67S Targa, one of rarest the most valuable 911s. I hope you clobbered the guy over the head after you paid him and got the title!
That said, most of it is reversible, but you are going to have to spend some serious coin to get it original again. Does it have the original motor? Doesn't look too rusty. The parts to re-convert the rear window can be bought from a guy in Canada for around $2000.
Best of luck...keep us posted on the progress!
This is a case of you have to keep asking your self,,,,"what were they thinking?" Glad you're going to save it from itself!.

The car doesn't have the original motor but came with a period 2ltr motor almost complete. I purchased original s pistons and sleeves last year at Hershey.
I have since aquired a 68s 901-02 motor which I was going to use for the restoration.
I had asked this forum for help locating the original motor previously with no success.
I am going back to Hershey this year to do a little more shopping, it sure helps with the strength of the Canadian dollar.

You are a humanitarian. No car deserves to suffer like that!

Restoration Saga
Looks like a candidate for dipping. But, I would find some people who have done this with a 911. I assume that something has to be done about the paper mufflers in the longitudinals, such as removing the inner and outer rocker panels, which also means removing the rear quarter panels. This is how the factory did it with the 73 that they're restoring now.
